Access Control System and Access Management Platform

The S-PASS electronic device allows users to be identified using an RFID badge in order to access the waste container shelter. It records, stores, secures, and transmits the necessary data during the use of the container shelters by the users.

The S-PASS access control ensures a high-quality service and aims to prevent and anticipate any service interruptions for the users. It generates all types of alerts and reports automatically and/or on-demand, allowing the municipality to monitor the operational status of the access controls.

An Advanced Access Control System

Smart electronic lock and management software for the waste and recycling industry

The S-PASS access control system controls, through an actuator, the unlocking/locking of the lock that allows access to the container. Regardless of the identification mode used (RFID card, NFC, or Bluetooth via an application), the locking system is immediately unlocked in a time unit imperceptible to the user

> Different types of light signals, modulated according to the type of information to be conveyed to the user.
> An activated modem for LTE-M/NBIOT transmission, configured for bidirectional communication with the web platform.
> An electromechanical device for opening/closing the hatch.
> Integration of sensors to remotely monitor the status (open/closed) of the hatch and shelter door.
> Optional: an electromagnetic door locking system.
> A Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) device for user recognition via a mobile application (in a later stage).
> Sending data and alerts to the web interface.

Automatic Data Retrieval

The S-PASS access control systems automatically transmit data via the cellular network on a daily basis, at least once a day. This includes identified badges and battery levels.

The system has the capability to store access user data (card number, date, time) and system operation locally in the memory. Considering an average of 25 trap openings per day, the memory card can store data for at least 180 days. This ensures that no human intervention is required for the proper functioning of this identification system, which has good network coverage for data transmission.

This guarantees the impossibility of losing information due to a temporary absence of communication from the access control, even in cases where the automatic download does not occur when the connection is restored.

The access control can autonomously store the contactless reading of over 500,000 different RFID card/badge numbers previously registered on the memory card.

The memory of the access controls is organized in a circular manner, meaning that as new records are added, they begin to overwrite the oldest records. It can contain data from over 16,600 badges.
